The Omaha Creative Institute offers a wide variety of workshops and events in the Omaha community. Check out the workshop and event calendar on their website to find out about local opportunities to participate.

The Joslyn Art Museum offers adult, teen and children's classes. Take a look at their upcoming class schedule here

The Hot Shops Art Center offers a variety of classes and workshops including glass blowing, ceramics and life drawing. Here is their online class schedule.

First Friday is relatively new to Omaha, but has been thriving in Lincoln for years. For information about Lincoln's first Friday walk look here.

This First Friday at the Tugboat Gallery (14th and O Street) in Lincoln there is a show titled High Tech, Low Tech and Who Cares? curated by my husband Michael Burton. The show features the following artists:

Brian Pytlik Zillig: Associate Professor and Digital Initiatives Librarian at the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities
